Stadium go ahead

The long awaited decision on the future of St. Helens new Rugby League Stadium has today been announced.

St. Helens will have a new world class stadium that the town can be proud of

This is absolutely fantastic news for the fans, the club and St. Helens . It is immensely pleasing to see the team get the stadium that they and all the fans truly deserve.

This project is the biggest planning application St. Helens has ever seen and we have all worked tirelessly to make this Stadium a reality.

St. Helens at long last with have a truly world class stadium for a world class team and for world class fans.

The planning proposal which was approved by St. Helens Council on May 19 but due to the size of the project had to be examined by the Government Office North West before being submitted to the Planning Minister for approval.

These developments will see the transformation of a derelict site, create thousands of new jobs and pump millions of pounds into the local economy.
